Giving you an extra layer of security with emb.bank

On August 1, 2019, Eastern Michigan Bank's website address changed from easternmichiganbank.com to emb.bank.

Why did Eastern Michigan Bank make this change?

If you have never heard of ".bank," it is a new, top-level domain available only to members of the banking community. Our new emb.bank address provides more robust security and meets strict verification requirements that will reduce the risk of cyber threats. Our new .bank domain provides a high-trust, more secure environment for our customers that can be easily identified with our business. Through this change, we can offer you, our customer, an enhanced level of service and security you deserve.

Does this mean the Eastern Michigan Bank ".com" address will not work anymore?

If you try to access easternmichiganbank.com, you will automatically be forwarded to our new emb.bank address. While we plan on having this redirect in place for some time, we do recommend that you update any bookmark or favorite settings to the new emb.bank address.

Will this affect how I use the Eastern Michigan Bank website?

Your interactions with us online are now even more secure because of the technical requirements that contribute to .bank being a trusted, protected, and easily identifiable space on the internet. The overall layout of our website however has not changed and how you access your online banking account is not affected.

Are staff email addresses changing as well?

Please continue to use the @easternmichiganbank.com email extension to contact our staff. We will be switching to @emb.bank for our email at some point in the future, but like the redirect in place for our website, @easternmichiganbank.com will continue to work, even after we have made the switch.

We hope we have answered a lot of the questions you may have about this change. If you have additional questions, please contact the staff at your local branch or call 800-397-2504.
